On the calendar: 30th APC National Pie Championships, 2027-04-12
Method: a 30% base rate, since pie is baked and sold in every state, plus weights for regional style territory (+30), pie contests, festivals and fairs on this archive’s calendar (+7 each, up to 20) and first places won by residents at the National Pie Championships, Best of Show and category, as printed in the ledger (+2 each, up to 19). Nationwide observances such as Pi Day count for no state. The championships are held in Florida and most first places go to nearby bakers, so Florida’s figure is inflated by venue. The percentage is a count of this archive’s records, weighted as stated; it is not a judgment of any state’s pie. Figures update as the records do.
